The five Best Motorcycle Route from Rykas

There's a reason Rykas has become one of the UK's most iconic biker cafés. Nestled at the foot of Box Hill and surrounded by some of the finest riding roads in the South East, it's the perfect place to fuel up before setting off on your next adventure or to grab a coffee and a bite to eat when you get back.
Whether you're looking for sweeping A-roads, winding country lanes or breathtaking viewpoints, here are a few of our favourite rides from Rykas.
Rykas to Devil's Punch Bowl
Approx. 45 miles | 1.5 – 2 hours

One of the South East's classic rides. Head through the Surrey Hills towards Hindhead and the spectacular Devil's Punch Bowl, taking in flowing roads, woodland scenery and fantastic viewpoints along the way. It's an ideal ride for a relaxed weekend morning.
Box Hill to Newlands Corner
Approx. 20 miles | 45 minutes

A premier 250-acre nature reserve and viewpoint situated on the ridge of the North Downs. Located 4 miles east of Guildford town centre, it offers some of the most panoramic views across the Surrey Hills National Landscape. A favourite with local riders. Wind your way through the beautiful Surrey countryside before arriving at Newlands Corner, where you'll be rewarded with panoramic views across the Surrey Hills. It's a short route, but one you'll never tire of riding.
Goodwood Circuit & South Downs
Approx. 70 miles | 1 - 1.5 hours

For those looking to stretch their legs, head south towards Goodwood through the rolling roads of West Sussex. Pass through picturesque villages before arriving at one of Britain's most famous motorsport venues and host of the festival of speed. Perfect for combining great roads with a spot of lunch. The Goodwood Trundle is a prominent, locally famous hill located four miles north of Chichester in West Sussex, situated directly alongside the Goodwood Racecourse.
It is most famous for its stunning panoramic views of the South Downs countryside, the Sussex coast, and the horse racing track. with free parking at its base, its Perfect for parking the bike up and going for a wonder up the famous chalk path to the top of the hill with its rich turf rolling landscape and beautiful sunsets. (definitely not one to miss)
Rykas to Whitesways
Approx. 65 miles | 2–3 hours

Try out the Stunning ride between two of the South East's most iconic biker points after your tasty Morning Rykas coffee and breakfast, start your journey by Leaving Rykas Box Hill, you'll wind your way through the beautiful Surrey Hills before heading into the rolling countryside of West Sussex and the South Downs National Park. With flowing A-roads, picturesque villages and sweeping countryside views, it's a route that's just as enjoyable as the destination.
Finish your journey at Whitesways Bury Hill, a favourite meeting place for riders, and hiker's before taking a different route back to Rykas to make the most of a fantastic day on the road.
Boxhill to Beachy Head
Approx. 95 miles | Full-day ride

If you're looking for a longer adventure and want to make a day off it, head south through the Sussex countryside towards the iconic white cliffs of Beachy Head and the Seven Sisters.
The route combines sweeping A-roads, scenic country lanes and stunning coastal views, making it one of the South East's most rewarding rides. Stop along the way to take in the scenery, enjoy a bite to eat by the sea, and soak up some of the best riding roads the region has to offer before making your way back to Rykas.
The roads around Box Hill are some of the most enjoyable in the country, but they're also shared with cyclists, walkers, horse riders and local communities. Please ride responsibly, respect speed limits and enjoy the journey. After all, it's not about how fast you get there it's about the ride itself.
